It shouldn't be such a chore to think and shoot vertical, but most of the time it is for me. It seems natural to shoot horizontally.

Oh wow! That is so awesome!
We find it difficult to work in the vertical format because we are surrounded most of the time by horizontal formats. TV, movies, computer screens, books and newspapers are horizontal formats. Newspapers can be the exception since we can fold them in half while reading. When we pick up the camera, the most comfortable position is holding it horizontal so the controls are readily acessible.
